Håkan Samuelsson confirmed that at the last press conference. He said that the third-generation would be available with a petrol-electric hybrid powertrain for the last time. It also said that the company’s plan is to move and redesign at least half of the brand’s vehicles to be fully-electric by 2025. The next-generation Volvo XC90 will be better than the predecessor, and we can expect it to arrive in late 2021 or 2023.

The R-Design model looks more attractive if this is not enough for you. Generally, it gains a sportier styling thanks to a trim-specific grille, high-gloss black exterior accents. Unlike the regular model, the R-Design includes matte-silver mirror caps, and larger octagonal exhaust outlets. Like before, the standard on all models is alloy wheels sizing of 19 inches. However, the optional alternative is 22 inches wheels, plus summer performance tires for the R-Design models.

Same Dose of Luxury Inside

The new 2023 Volvo XC90 offers the same dose of luxury inside as the predecessor. This model offers 3-row/7-occupant seating as standard, with decent legroom and headroom behind. The third row offers comfort, and is best suited for kids. The base XC90 comes with simulated leather upholstery, while leather is available on the upper trims.
